Kaiyuan Junction interchange is the largest controlled interchange project of Tongrong Expressway, with a total length of 1530 meters, including 8 Bridges, 6 of which are cross-line steel box girder Bridges, all of which cross the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway. The steel box girder of this project adopts factory production and assembly construction. Compared with the traditional cast-in-place concrete box girder, the construction period is about 4 months earlier, and avoids the construction mode of high investment, high consumption and high pollution. It has the advantages of energy saving, environmental protection, fast safety, durable and efficient, which fits the theme of building green demonstration highway.
The highway from Tongnan to Rongchang, with a total length of 139 kilometers, is the first national green highway construction typical demonstration project in Chongqing. After the completion of the project, the traffic links between Tongnan, Daju, Rongchang and their surrounding areas will be greatly improved. The driving distance between Tongnan and Rongchang can be shortened from 2 hours to less than 1 hour.
